Manali to Rohtang Pass: Gateway to Mountains

Hadimba Mandir, Vashishth Ashram, and Mall Road situated near Manali, provide an amazing experience. The 51 km journey from Manali to Rohtang Pass opens the way to the heights of the Himalayas and it is the first phase of this challenging trip. Rohtang Pass is situated at an altitude of 13,040 feet.

Rohtang Pass to Keylong: The Thrilling Beginning

The real thrill of the Himalayas starts here. From Rohtang Pass to Leh Highway, passing the iconic landmarks, the bike moves ahead through Gulaba reaches Keylong. After clicking through the amazing landscapes along the way, our first stop reached after 117 km journey reaches the keylong. After staying at Keylong for one night, the next journey starts next morning. Situated at an altitude of 10,105 feet, Keylong is a very picturesque place in Lahual and Spiti district. By staying here, one can enjoy the local culture and food.

Keylong to Jispa

Jispa is situated at a distance of 23 km from Keylong. Jispa is another very enchanting place on this journey. Jispa is a special attraction for riders. Riders must prefer stopping at Jispa. Because one has to go to one’s own beauty.

Jispa to Baralacha La

Baralacha La is situated 50 km further from Jispa. From Baralacha La, one can see the snow covered Himalayan mountains. Baralacha La is the main junction connecting Manali, Leh and Ladakh.

Baralacha La to Sarchu: Altitude Gains and Stunning Views

The journey is very difficult through valleys—a journey of 42 km from Baralacha La towards Sarchu. The view of the Himalayan valley from Baralacha La to Sarchu is very starkly beautiful. After Keylong, Sarchu would be the next night stay. Riders stay here for the night. Riders like camping at Sarchu.

Sarchu to Leh

Next morning, the journey from Sarchu ends at Leh via. Tanglang La. Tanglang La is the second highest motorable pass after Rohtang Pass during journey. Tanglang La is the highest motorable pass in the world which is situated at 17,582 feet.

There was the requirement of some permits during this journey but now there is no need of any permit to complete this trip.
